Join us on Saturday 22nd July to celebrate the launch of the Ystrad Stories iBook and trail.

Walk the Ystrad Stories trail with the iBook or audio guide and discover the paintings of Ernest Zobole in the landscape that inspired the artist, whilst listening to stories by the Rhondda community written in response to Zobole’s paintings.

Start the trail by 11am (or earlier for a slow stroll) following a route from Llwynypia through Ystrad Rhondda to reach Penrhys by 1pm. Bring a picnic and enjoy a unique performance by Avant Cymru at the Penrhys amphitheatre in the wonderful surroundings of the Rhondda valley. Check out the Artist Trails Facebook page for updates.

This event celebrates the launch of the Ystrad Stories iBook. Produced by Sue Burnett at the University of South Wales, the iBook includes a map of the trail, Ernest Zobole’s paintings and audio recordings of the stories.
